Description
Capturing the tranquil artistic concept of the classic Chinese guqin melody “Wild Geese Descending on the Sandbank” (Pingsha Luoyan), this porcelain tea caddy depicts wild geese resting gracefully among wind-blown reeds by a peaceful shore. Hand-painted in Jingdezhen using rich underglaze cobalt blue, the delicate brushstrokes bring vibrant depth to the geese’s soft feathers and swaying reed stalks. Designed with an ingenious double-lid structure, this jar provides superior airtight protection to shield fine tea leaves from ambient moisture and light, preserving their original aroma and character over time.

Inspired by the celebrated guqin melody Wild Geese Descending on the Sandbank and one of the renowned Eight Views of Xiaoxiang, this piece captures a serene autumn scene: clear skies, still winds, level sands, and wild geese returning to rest.
A master artisan of Huashan Zhuoyin combines meticulous brushwork with expressive blue-and-white painting to depict swaying reeds and wild geese gliding overhead or settling peacefully upon the shore. Traditional fenshui shading lends the feathers a soft, layered texture while evoking the delicate movement of reeds in the wind, creating the poetic depth of an ink-wash painting.
The tea caddy features a specially designed double-lid sealing system. The fitted inner lid helps protect the tea from moisture and preserve its aroma, while the precisely matched outer lid provides an additional secure closure. More than a vessel for safeguarding fine tea, it is a three-dimensional portrait of an Eastern autumn landscape upon the tea table.
