Inspired by the auspicious imperial paintings of the Ming and Qing dynasties depicting celestial peaches as offerings of good fortune, this piece carries timeless wishes for health, longevity, and abundance.
A master artisan of Huashan Zhuoyin uses pure cobalt-blue pigment and Jingdezhen’s traditional fenshui shading technique to portray the peaches’ rounded fullness and the subtle light and shadow of every leaf. The compositions across the lid and bowl echo one another, forming a continuous and harmonious scene.
As hot water fills the gaiwan and fragrant steam rises gently from beneath the lid, the vessel preserves the tea’s authentic character while placing centuries-old Eastern blessings for health and longevity within the palm of the hand—imbued with the warmth of true craftsmanship.
