Description
Serving as the dramatic anchor of the dry-brewing tea table, the Ink Dragon Teapot Stand captures a mythical dragon commanding a whirlpool of roaring ocean waves. Hand-painted with deep, ink-washed cobalt blue, this vessel showcases our studio’s exclusive Underglaze White (釉里白) technique—rendering the crests of the crashing waves in a raised, jade-like white enamel. Featuring a broad, flat interior base to securely support ceramic or Yixing clay teapots, this handcrafted stand seamlessly marries functional tea table protection with bold Eastern fine art.

In a modern dry-brewing tea setting, the teapot stand serves as an artistic foundation for a treasured teapot. Huashan Zhuoyin captures the majestic spirit of Song- and Yuan-dynasty ink-wash dragon paintings within this circular form.
Using cobalt-blue pigment and expressive ink-wash techniques, the artisan depicts surging waves and a dragon rising proudly from the sea. Huashan Zhuoyin’s signature Underglaze White technique highlights the crests and delicate details of the splashing waves with specially formulated white glaze. After firing, the wave tips become subtly raised and lustrous, resembling fine white jade.
When paired with a Yixing clay or white porcelain teapot, the dragon appears to coil protectively around it, bringing a commanding presence to the tea table.
