There is no shortcut to the starting point of Huashan Zhuoyin, only down-to-earth hard work.
In the original years of porcelain making, in order to make a kiln of good porcelain, as craftsmen, we once picked up heavy clay and walked all the way from coking to Jingdezhen. It departs at 7:30 a.m. and arrives at 4:00 p.m. I was like walking on thin ice all the way, afraid that a small bump would ruin my efforts all the way.
It is these extremely arduous and cautious years that have forged the lowest gene of Huashan Zhuoyin – an extremely rigorous attitude towards porcelain making. This also makes us understand that no matter how far we go in the future, we must maintain awe of perfection in every link.
2003
When I first arrived at Fanjiajing, Jingdezhen, I seemed to have stepped into a vast ocean of ceramic craft. Qinghua in the Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, as well as pastel, ancient color, Doucai… There are all kinds of flowers.
At this stage, we are rooted in the study and research of ancient methods. As a learner, we constantly communicate and discuss with masters and apprentices, and constantly integrate the information and skills of our predecessors into ourselves.
“Only by understanding ancient things and on the basis of traditional crafts can technology be truly improved.” In the process of antiques and seeking Taoism, Honghuashan has completed a preliminary leap from a pure “craftsman” to the field of “art ceramics”.
2011
With years of travel and experience, Honghuashan returned to Jingde Town and officially founded “Huashan Zhuoyin”. This is not only the birth of a brand, but also the complete awakening of the creator’s aesthetic concept.
We realize that if we only stay on the show of craftsmanship, the work will be limited after all; and talking about pure art out of ceramic language is like a pavilion in the air. Therefore, we began to draw a lot on themes of ancient Chinese paintings to explore the mystery of “lifelikeness” in ancient paintings.
Huashan Zhuoyin strives to break through the shackles of traditional utensils, deeply integrating the traditional beauty of utensils, glaze color and kiln fire with the beauty of Chinese painting, so that ceramics can truly have their own “painting” and soul.
2018
As the inheritor of ceramic intangible cultural heritage, Huashan Zhuoyin knows that the roots cannot be lost, but innovation cannot be stopped.
On the basis of adhering to the traditional foundation, after years of trial and error and grinding, we have created a new process that has never been seen in ancient times – “white in glaze”. It not only brings a unique slightly raised feel, but also penetrates into the fetal bone at high temperature, contrasting with the blue and white flowers, forming a unique artistic language of Huashan Zhuoyin.

Today’s Huashan Zhuoyin is willing to be a “translator of time”. We translate ancient wisdom into the language of modern art. With more than ten years or even decades of concentration, we just want to leave our own mark on the stage of ceramic history. Let every object become a ferry between the past and the future.
